Time is running out
More than 10 years have passed since the signature of the European Regulation 2037/2000. Starting on January 1, 2010, equipment containing HCFCs can only be serviced with recycled or reclaimed HCFC refrigerant. Recycled HCFC refrigerant is not widely available and demand is likely to exceed supply after January 1, 2010.
If you have equipment that uses HCFCs, you need to address the issue immediately to avoid problems in 2010 and on. Your options are:
- To source reclaimed HCFC to keep your equipment running,
- To change the refrigerant in your equipment with other authorised refrigerants
- To upgrade your equipment
Time is running out fast and you must decide how you are going to tackle the issue now.
